Your questions, Answered

WHAT WILL MY PROJECT COST?

There are a number of factors that I use to determine the appropriate number of hours, and thus the budget, for a project. These factors include the complexity of your organization, how much stakeholder engagement is required, the capacity of your team to lend a hand, and not least of all, your budget! However, I know it’s helpful to have a starting place for consideration, so here are the general ranges for each category of service I offer:

BIG: $15,000 - $30,000

MEDIUM: $5,000 - $9,000

CO-PILOT: $5,000

CMWYNM: $300ph ($275 with a retainer)

I HAVE SUCH A SMALL BUDGET that I’M NERVOUS TO REACH OUT. WHAT NEXT?

Reach out! I’m happy to be helpful in any way. This includes putting together a scope of work and project budget for you in order to get increased financial support from external sources, or offering some general advice or resources.

WE’RE CLEAR ON THE PROJECT / scope of work, WHAT ELSE IS ENTAILED?

We’ll start by working out a billing schedule and executing a contract for our work. Then, we’ll work together to set goals for the process and get clear on deliverables. I also usually like to set a standing time for check-ins throughout the process. At the end of the process, I’ll make sure you’re happy before sending a final invoice and a feedback form.

Virtual? In Person? How will we work together?

I will design and structure your engagement to meet your needs. Whether you’re based in New England and would like to do in person meetings, have the need for your consultant to travel, or want/need to do your entire engagement virtually - whatever works for you.

what types of organizations do you work with?

I have experience consulting to organizations across sectors and issue areas. I have worked with government agencies, higher education institutions, municipalities, human service agencies, philanthropies, businesses, and nonprofits. I bring the benefit of this cross-sector experience to all of my projects. What makes a client a good fit is mostly about the desire to lead with clarity and authenticity, make a positive contribution through our work, and develop a decisive strategy.

DO YOU DO DEI WORK?

The short answer is no. I believe DEI, or whatever your orientation to justice work is (DEIB, JEDI, racial equity, etc.) should be an inherent part of all organizational and personal change work. I’ll work with you to strengthen that muscle, make your commitments more explicit, and explore the implications of your decision-making in these areas. That being said, I generally do not do change work focused solely on diversity, equity, and inclusion.
